The Asian and Pacific Training Centre for ICT for Development (APCICT/ESCAP), in partnership with the Ministry of Environment, Climate Change and Technology (MECCT) and the National Center for Information Technology of the Maldives, is organizing a Training on Information Security and Privacy on 24-25 October 2022 in Male, Maldives.  

In an effort to strengthen the national capacities of Mongolia, the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), ESCAP Subregional Office for East and North-East Asia, and the Asian and Pacific Training Centre for ICT for Development will organize the National Training on ICT for Disaster Risk Management on 13-14 October 2022.

The Asian and Pacific Training Centre for ICT for Development (APCICT/ESCAP), in collaboration with the Alliance for Affordable Internet (A4AI), will organize the Capacity Building Webinar on Cross-Sectoral Infrastructure Sharing for Broadband Connectivity from 29 to 30 September 2022. The webinar is being held in conjunction with the Third Ministerial Conference on Regional Economic Cooperation and Integration in Asia and the Pacific (RECI) on 28-30 September 2022 in Bangkok.  

The Asian and Pacific Training Centre for ICT for Development (APCICT/ESCAP), in partnership with the E-Government Projects Management Center under the Ministry for Development of Information Technologies and Communications of the Republic of Uzbekistan, will be conducting a National Webinar on Digital Government and Transformation on 26-28 September 2022.  

The Asian and Pacific Training Centre for ICT for Development (APCICT/ESCAP) and the Ministry of Science and ICT of the Republic of Korea are co-organizing the Regional Launch of the Capacity Building Programme on Frontier ICTs for Sustainable Development. The event will be held in Incheon, Republic of Korea, from 5 to 7 September 2022, and will be conducted in a combination of physical and virtual means to take account of travel restrictions brought about by the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic. 

The Asian and Pacific Training Centre for ICT for Development (APCICT/ESCAP) and the Ministry of Information and Communications are organizing the Virtual Training of Trainers on Media Information Literacy for Bhutan on 25-28 July 2022.

The Asian and Pacific Training Centre for ICT for Development (APCICT/ESCAP), in partnership with the Royal Institute of Management of Bhutan (RIM), will be organizing a Capacity Building Webinar on Digital Government and Transformation for Bhutan on 19-21 July 2022.

Asia and the Pacific is among the world’s most disaster-impacted regions and the number of disasters caused by the natural hazards in the region has increased drastically in recent years. The use of ICTs during all phases of disaster risk management presents substantial opportunities to reduce disaster risks, enhance resilience, and facilitate inclusive preparedness and response.  

The Asian and Pacific Training Centre for ICT for Development (APCICT/ESCAP) will be organizing the Capacity Building Webinar on Digital Government and Transformation for North and Central Asia on 4-7 July 2022. The event is targeted to managers and mid-level professionals from central and local governments as well as government officials responsible for the development and implementation of digital initiatives in North and Central Asia.
