The training aims to equip women with knowledge, skills and confidence to become the entrepreneurs in this knowledge-based society. The course saw the participation of 30 female representatives from Women Empowerment Unit and from Communication and Information Office in both province and district levels of Indonesia.

In order to discuss ways to channel the dynamism of e-Business for social and economic good of women, UN-APCICT, Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC), Asian Pacific Women’s Information Network Center, Ministry of Gender Equality and Family (Republic of Korea), and Ministry for Women’s Empowerment (Republic of Indonesia) collaborated on the Training for Women’s IT Capacity Building in the APEC Region from 25-29 November 2007 in Jakarta, Indonesia. The training course aims to equip women with knowledge, skills and confidence to become the entrepreneurs in this knowledge-based society. The event saw the participation of 30 female representatives from Women Empowerment Unit and from Communication and Information Office in both province and district levels of Indonesia.
