The Legal Aspects of Electronic Government in Pacific Island Countries: A Reflection

The initiatives for regional cooperation and integration as envisaged in the Pacific Plan, particularly on the implementation of a regional digital strategy for enhancing information and communication technology will have direct bearing on the future development of e-government structures in the region. This article examines the legal aspects of the structures which support the operations of e-governments and the extent of their adaptability to the circumstances of Pacific island countries.
