Document ActionsAcademy of ICT Essentials for Government LeadersThe ‘Academy of ICT Essentials for Government Leaders’ (Academy) is UN-APCICT’s first flagship programme launched in June 2008 on the occasion of the Global Forum for Building Inclusive Internet Economy during the OECD ICT Ministerial Meeting. The Academy includes a comprehensive curriculum comprised of ten stand-alone yet inter-linked modules that range from foundational to advanced topics in the field of ICT for development (ICTD). The next module 11 on “Social Media for Development” is currently being developed. The Academy has been rolled out, adopted and institutionalized in 26 countries of the Asia-Pacific region and is currently available in ten languages.
