Document ActionsAPCICT launches new Knowledge Sharing SeriesThe United Nations Asian and Pacific Training Centre for Information and Communication Technology for Development (UN-APCICT/ESCAP) today rolled-out a new publication series that provides step-by-step guidelines for roll out and management of effective ICTD initiatives in developing countries The Knowledge Sharing Series incorporates a strong demand by APCICT partners for thematic learning materials that can offer a practical, action-oriented insight into the broad ICTD-policy framework provided by the modules of APCICT's "Academy of ICT Essentials for Government Leaders" (Academy). The specific contents covered in the KSS include step-by-step guidelines, concrete strategies, best practices, and case studies. Prepared with the support of the Ministry of Strategy and Finance of the Republic of Korea, each issue in the Series focuses on a specific ICT for Development (ICTD) theme, programme or project, and offers an end-to-end road map that can help policymakers in their planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation processes. In support of the KSS, APCICT has also launched a Communities of Practice (COP), to serve as a collaborative online platform that enables learners and experts to share knowledge and best practices on the two KSS subjects as well as many more ICTD topics.
