Values and ethics are not esoteric, relative or fuzzy: they’re practical, accessible and essential. Technologies embody the ethical frameworks and the values of the societies that create them, and as they continue to inform the administrative foundation of governments, shape societies, and affect the health and well-being of millions, understanding the relationship between technology and values becomes ever more vital. The purpose of this paper is to encourage leaders to adopt practical skills for working with values and ethics and integrating them into a broader view of technological development.
